Hi all! Hope you had a good weekend and are looking forward to getting your weeks started.
I crammed a lot in to the last couple of days. Priority number one was getting as much of my stuff packed up as possible ready for next weekend's move (the tenancy agreement's all signed and deposit's paid so it's actually happening!). I mostly succeeded, though there's quite a bit still to do.
I'm wondering whether anyone will notice if I sneak the cat in.
Part of packing included me going through my wardrobe to throw out what no longer fits. I cried, alot. It was hard to find that clothes that I'd fitted in to for years now wouldn't do up or squeeze over my thighs. However, something I did do which I've never done before was throw those clothes straight on the "out" pile. Normally they'd have gone in the "keep" pile ready for when I'd slimmed back down. It's finally starting to sink in that that was not my natural size...and I'm never going to be that size again. Such a change in my thought pattern.
Yesterday also consisted of getting my hair cut (for the first time in about 7 months...oh the shame). I kept it safe as it was a new hairdresser, but kinda wished I'd done something a bit different. Next time.
My hair was poker straight when I came out of the hairdresser's. 10 minutes later and it already had kinks in it....
I refuelled with Whole Foods.
Those Rebel Mylk drinks are the shizz. Coconut milk base, sweetened with dates, and totally yum.
On Sunday I managed some form of exercise without too much of a negative impact on my stupid foot injury. I started off with this yoga workout from Tara Lee. It's pretty much the lowest intensity you could ask for, but makes you feel really connected with yourself and surroundings and was exactly what I was needing.
I also went out to the monthly Kew Market and then walked along the river to Richmond. I needed to get away from the house where I'd probably end up mindlessly eating. It was a stunning day and to reward myself for getting out in the beauty I rewarded myself with a Nakd bar and Pret. It was the perfect way to end the weekend.
What was the highlight of your weekend?

Restaurant review: RAW at La Suite West
Saturday was mine and my boyfriend’s three year anniversary.
It didn’t get off to the best start, when my boyfriend bit into his pain au
chocolat that I’d lovingly bought him to find maggots dropping out. Way to say
“I love you”.
However the culinary moments of the day definitely ended on
a high when I found out he’d booked for us to go to RAW at La Suite West in
Bayswater for dinner. He’s made some pretty big sacrifices for me in the past,
but coming to a vegan/partly raw restaurant is definitely up amongst them – no
nicely cooked steaks here (though there was at least Coca Cola...).
And holy cow this place was inspiring!
From the alcohol-free drinks list (including the RAW
smoothie which is THE yummiest drink to ever have graced my lips) to the 50%
raw menu, it really highlighted how vegan food (and getting your 5 a day) could
not only be downright delicious, but also jaw-droppingly beautiful.
I had the pumpkin soufflé to start which looked so stunning
that I could have forgotten about eating it and just stared at it all night.
However, just for the record, it tasted just as good as it looked. The
“soufflĂ©” was made of layers of delicate pumpkin and mushroom and was served
with a sesame-herb emulsion which was So. Good. My boyfriend had the beetroot
falafels with a thai BBQ sauce. These were also ridiculously yummy.
For main I had the raw zucchini tagliatelli almond and
coconut pad-thai. I’m always a bit dubious about how satisfying I’ll find a
small dish of raw vegetables, but this was both delicious and filling. What I
would do for the recipe for the coconut sauce it was in! It’s not your
traditional pad thai, but it was super good. The boyfriend had a mushroom and
quinoa burger in a sweet potato bun. The burger was actually basically the same
as the falafel (containing beetroot) so was obviously still good but I think he
found it a bit repetitive, but the bread was amazing.
For dessert we shared the raw cacao and ginger cookies.
These were good, but probably the only think I felt disappointed by (probably
because the rest of the meal had been so insanely good) as they lacked a bit of
flavour.
The service was excellent with it being attentive but not
obtrusive. The atmosphere was quite subdued, with the restaurant being fairly
quiet for a Saturday night. I quite liked it not being so busy but if you like
a “buzz” you might have felt something was missing (though I recommend you go
at least for the food!). Price-wise the main courses were pretty reasonable
(about £12), and the drinks, whilst some were expensive (my smoothie was
£6.50), were totally worth the price. The starters (£8-9) and the desserts
(£6-8) were a bit more on the pricy side though.
So all in all, I loved this place! Not only was the food
great, I left feeling I’d had a truly healthy eating out experience which was
great. The restaurant also does an afternoon tea: I’m currently searching for
any excuse to give it a go!

Weekend round-up: revision - it's not fayre
Hi everyone!
I hope you have had wonderful weekends. The weather here has been so wonderful!
I've done something crazy this weekend - I've not calorie-counted! Yesterday it was more just because it wasn't practical, today it was a conscious decision. I wanted to really focus on plain old clean eating. And that's exactly what I've done :)
There were some dubious cakes and biscuits yesterday, and a few too many tortilla chips, but I also had good balanced meals of blueberries and yoghurt and big Pizza Express salad.
It was a local summer fayre yesterday which I went along to with the bf. I LOVE country fayres, they're just so cute. There were horse shows, dog shows (sooo cute), lots of food stalls, a fun fayre. I'm not a big fan of rides (nor am I sure that either of us would have fit in any of the seats - they were very kid orientated!), however the 2p and 10p slot machines...well that's a different kettle of fish!
We did pretty well, keeping going for a good half hour with just a couple of pounds (and at the rate we were shoving the coins in that's not bad!). We didn't get the £5 note though :(
We went to our usual Pizza Express for lunch, and then to a Sugarpova. This is a sweet shop owned by Maria Sharapova, selling some very brightly coloured sweets!
I'm so excited for Wimbledon starting tomorrow! The sweets looked like quite good high-end sweets, however obviously full of a lot of rubbish. And quite pricey at £4 a bag! I didn't try one, but the smell of watermelon coming from one of the sweets my boyfriend tried was amazing, so I'm sure they're worth the price for a special Wimbledon-themed party or the like if you're fancying a treat :)
Yesterday evening I had the flat to myself, and in the Wimbledon spirit I had some frozen strawberries and...well, ok, yoghurt. I flavoured it with vanilla extract and agave and added some nuts to add a bit of extra yumminess.
Ate that whilst watching Celebrity Masterchef, and looking at new flats for when I have to move out. I also did some summer clothes shopping because the flights to Bali are officially sorted! I can't believe it's happening - I've never been somewhere quite as exotic as this so I'm ridiculously excited :)
Today started off in the most amazing way possible. Got up early and headed out for a short run. I decided to mix it up a bit and run a different route, mostly making it up as I went along. However it got to the point where I was going to turn off the Thames path to head home, and I just didn't want to. The weather was gorgeous, I was feeling ok, and so I kept on going. In the end I did 10k with 14 minutes of walking in there, and there were points I felt on top of the world. Such a great way to start my Sunday morning :)
I also refuelled with this beauty of a breakfast (and a lot of H2O since I'd not taken a water bottle with me on the run). Just the cooling meal I needed: frozen banana and raspberries with chia seed and peanut butter, and some rye bread with coconut oil on the side.
Today I had to do some revision for a project management exam I have tomorrow. Definitely not as fun as being out in the sun at a fun fayre! Made sure I rewarded myself with lots of dates dipped in peanut butter, and made this yummy salad for lunch.
I also nipped out for a wander to stretch my legs and picked up this coconut water. Perfect post-run refuel.
After lunch I don't know what happened but I couldn't keep my eyes open so had a bit of a siesta before cracking on with revision with this to keep me going.
I've now off to go and make myself a nice dinner :)
What have you been up to this weekend?
Do you like the slot machines?
Do you watch Wimbledon?

Weekend round-up: even Batman couldn't save me from revision
Hello hello hello!
Hope you've all had lovely weekends!
My weekend started on Friday with a big old salad with eggs. And a few zillion teaspoons of peanut butter.
Saturday was another relaxed today. We'd planned on going to a Dragon Boat Race but it started chucking it down with rain. Instead I caught up on all the sleep I'd been missing the last few days and then headed into town for a coffee and to pick up an engagement card for my boyfriend's brother. We also got them a £1 Halfords gift card as a silly token gift...the guy on the cash desk said he'd never been asked for that before! What can I say, we're generous souls. I also saw Batman and the Batmobile!
I spent the rest of the day chillaxing at home by myself, nipping to the shops for food, and catching up on TV whilst writing a few blog posts.
Sunday got off to a bit of a false start. I set my alarm so I could get up for a long run. I got up, brushed my teeth, checked my emails...and then went back to bed. I just couldn't face it! An hour later and I was back up, in my running gear, and managed to push out a 5k. Wasn't perfect but better than nothing.
I refuelled with rye bread, egg, and strawberries. I'm consciously trying to have a better proportion of carbs, fats and protein, and this was bang on the money!
Unfortunately the rest of my eats today were rubbish. Whilst I did have a massive salad for lunch, some dates and peanut butter as snacks, and some berries, I also ate a ridiculous number of crisps. Like bags and bags worth. I honestly don't know what my problem is, and I feel awful. I've got to learn that I can't do portion control, and therefore buying larger sizes of items may make more economic sense, but I don't have the willpower to stop at one portion.
I'm going to become enormous.
Unfortunately spent most of the day revising for a project management exam I've got in just over a week, but the weather was a bit pants so I wasn't too bothered. Also caught up on some Celebrity Masterchef :)

Friday favourites #5
Hi guys!
Sorry this is up a bit later than usual. I've been so behind the last few days! But now it's Friday - hurrah!
Beautiful weather like we've got down in the South at the moment makes me want to go for picnics. Unfortunately I don't think there will be time this weekend...one day!
Here are my favourite reads from the last few days - enjoy :)
Some great advice on how to make friends with food from the Guilty Kitchen.
I've never really tried juicing, mostly because it's not really appealed. I'd much rather have a smoothie and the fibre! But I can appreciate it might really work for some people. This great article from Food and Nonsense is one take on juicing
Ricki Heller's recipe for these herbed chickpea oven fries looks delish!
I love Magnum ice creams, but they're not exactly additive free. These perfect-for-a-summer-day-like-today-and-every-day treats look like an amazing substitute that might even trump the real thing. Thanks Peachy Palate!
All about comparing our food choices to others. The bit about women not wanting to be the first person to say what they're having in a restaurant is so true.
I'm absolutely pants at finding independent food places. I can't wait to try some of these healthy eateries, as recommended by Madeleine Shaw.
I'm a recent starter of yoga. I thought I'd hate it, and sure, there are better feelings than when I'm in downward dog, can't straighten my legs and my wrists feel like they're going to buckle...One of the areas I've noticed I'm most stiff is my legs and hips from running, which I hope to loosen through yoga. Here are even more reasons why runners should love yoga, courtesy of Energy We Bring.
I just love love love this article from Mommy Run Fast. When I learnt that calories in vs calories out doesn't always work a couple of years ago my mind was blown, and it really helped me on my start to recovery.
I hope you enjoy those little snippets!
Have a fabulous weekend!

Weekend round-up: when nothing is everything
Hi everyone! How were your weekends?
Mine was super chilled out.
Yesterday morning started early with a 5 and a bit mile run. It was drizzly but so warm and humid, and felt a little bit like running through a hot bath! I did just over 35 minutes running and then a mixture of walking and running as I was feeling a bit tender after the binge the night before.
I also cut my run short which took me past this beautiful church.
I spent the rest of the morning doing a few chores and blog reading whilst eating this breakfast which was amazing!
It was banana soft serve with flaxseed, nuts, coconut and peanut butter. Banana and peanut butter is seriously the best combination ever! I also had a couple of slices of protein bread on the side.
Because I'd had breakfast so late I ended up not having lunch, which I was a bit frustrated with as I'm trying to eat more this week!
After the last few days of messed up eating I was feeling a bit down. So I put on this shocking pink shirt to cheer me up! Apparently wearing bright colours makes you more approachable?
Spent the rest of the weekend with my boyfriend going for lovely walks in the sun, saying hello to the local ducks
watching trashy TV and going out for lunch today at Pizza Express again. I pushed myself today to have something a bit different, having the goats cheese and vegetable salad which was super yummy.
Today's been a bit of a write-off generally as despite going to bed at 9.30 last night (that's a record even for me) there was a party in the next door's garden where they were belting out music and even had a PA system. I felt like I was in a club! This morning I felt like I'd barely got any sleep, and woke up feeling rough. I think a mixture of still getting over the binges, poor sleeping and a pollen increase knocked me sideways a bit!
I normally feel like a weekend doing nothing is wasted, but I think this time it was exactly what I needed. Sometimes doing nothing is everything!

Weekend round-up
Hi guys!
It doesn't seem very long ago since I was doing the last one of these!
Yesterday was pretty tough. I had the worst feelings of self-hate that I've had for some time. Don't know where it came from, but it hit hard. I didn't want to be seen by anyone (I nearly even cancelled plans with my boyfriend) and I just wanted to stop eating. But I'm so much stronger than I was before, so I forced myself to keep going, made sure I walked with good posture and confidence, put some summer tunes on loud, and kept on making healthy food. It wasn't a walk in the park, but doing the opposite would have been pointless.
I still managed to pack a fair bit in over the last couple of days despite me being a bit down.
On Saturday I got up for a long yoga session which felt amazing. The back of my legs and shoulders in particular always feel so tight. I then headed in to Richmond for a bit of a wander in the sunshine with a trip to Whole Foods (obviously!). Picked up a massive tub of Meridian smooth peanut butter, which I just love, and am hoping I make it last and don't just sit there with a spoon one day and eat it all!
In the afternoon I went over to my boyfriend's and took this beautiful face out for a walk. I swear she runs about 10 times the distance we walk! There was a random guy playing the trumpet in the middle of the common, and Millie kept running up to him and barking - poor guy :-/
We spent the rest of the evening watching Big Bang Theory (I LOVE that programme) and other random bits of TV whilst preventing Millie from chewing everything in sight!
Woke up this morning to glorious sunshine and headed out for a 5.5 mile run. The path along the Thames was stunning, but I did nearly melt into a puddle. I looked like a beetroot by the time I got back!
The rest of my day has been super lovely. I went up to the monthly Kew Market this morning and just wandered round looking at all the amazing local businesses.
And there was some cracking live music playing which really added to the atmosphere.
Whilst I was there I nipped into the local village organic wholefoods store, which is just the cutest thing ever, and picked up some flaxseed and soya tortilla chips and some coconut water.
Went and sat on Richmond Green whilst I waited for the boyfriend to arrive and just watched all the super cute families playing (and in some cases throwing frisbees dangerously close to my head!).
Went to Zizzi's for some lunch and had about half of a skinny primavera pizza. I love how they serve them on a wholemeal base with salad :) Afterwards we stretched our legs along the river and made the most of the sunshine.
We also found another little market called the Duck Pond market. It had a great selection of food and craft stalls - was a real little find :)
Finished off with a coffee(/tea for me!) at Costa :)
I've been pretty happy with what I've eaten this weekend! There have been some super yummy breakfasts.
This was frozen banana and raspberries, with homemade chocolate mush, tahini and flaked almonds.
And this was CoYo chocolate coconut yoghurt (I'm seriously addicted), banana, frozen raspberries and peanut butter. One of the yummiest things I've ever eaten!
Have also had a couple of salads.
Both were a combination of spinach, pepper, cucumber, beetroot, chickpeas and tahini dressing. Today I also had the flaxseed and soya tortilla crips which were absolutely amazing!
#30summerdays
Tina and her rather large 39-weeks-and-counting-bump from Carrots 'N' Cake are doing a photo-a-day challenge for the month of June in partnership with Staples. I love having the motivation to get snappy, even if I do just have my phone camera on me, so I thought I'd get involved. For the full list of daily themes head over to the Carrots 'N' Cake blog. I'm excited to see a heap of baby-related photos from her over the next month :)
Today's theme is "Rabbit, rabbit! What brings you good luck?"
For me the number 23 represents good luck. It was my bag number on one of the most exciting trips of my life, features in one of my childhood favourite films (anyone watched Serendipity?! It's the floor they choose in the lift!), was my room number in the hotel I stayed in the night before the interview for my current job. It just makes me feel safe :)
Keep check of my Twitter and Instagram accounts for my daily photos for the challenge, and let me know if you decide to get involved too!
What makes you feel lucky?
Hope you all had lovely weekends :)

Meals and gratitude #12
There were just so many different ingredients I used today that when I put it into My Fitness Pal I couldn't fit it all into a screen shot, so you're just getting the totals today! Works out as 60% carbs, 27% fat, and 13% protein (they say you should aim for 50% carbs, 30% fat, and 20% protein) which I was quite happy with. Normally my fat is WAY over, and I would have thought that all the tahini and nuts would have pushed it up.
For a post-run, pre-shower snack I had a tahini dipped date again. They're just so good!
I then had the usual green smoothie.
For some reason I was going hot and cold this morning, and the smoothie was really refreshing! I had to stop myself from downing it one...
Lunch was leftover chili from yesterday with some brown rice.
Really enjoyed this today, and it definitely saw me nice and full!
I snacked on some muesli today, which was definitely not a good idea. I KNOW I have an oat intolerance and yet sometimes the muesli is just toooo tempting. So this afternoon I've been feeling as bloated and brain foggy as this guy, along with some serious stomach pains:

Because I felt bloated I thought about not having any dinner but I knew that would be really stupid. So I just had some microwaved frozen berries with dessicated coconut, tahini, a homemade chocolate I made today, and some chocolate mush I also made. It was the recipe for Nutella from Deliciously Ella, but my blender wasn't playing ball so I gave up and ended up just with mush. It's yummy, a bit like a Nakd bar - you can definitely taste the dates.
I tried really hard today to try and do proper meals rather than snacking. I failed a bit - dinner wasn't exactly a meal, and I did quite a bit of grabbing random little bits of tahini or muesli throughout the day (incorporated into the totals in my food diary) which left me feeling pretty full. But I think it was an improvement.
And I don't actually feel too panicked about the calories. I know I have a long way to go until they're at the right level, but they're a bit over my top barrier of comfortableness of 1,000kcal, and apart from my run this morning (which felt tough!) I haven't even left the house. So exercise has been looow.
Gratitude
A bit hard when I haven't even left the house today!
- My boyfriend's brother proposing to his girlfriend...and her saying yes :) I'm such a sucker for romance! And yay for future wedding times!
- Green smoothies :)
- This week being half term - everyone's been off from work and it's meant I've had no disruptions and could just get on with things!
- Magic FM providing some old school classics to get me through the day
- My hat and shoes arriving for the garden party on Tuesday...not that I've had time to even open the parcels.
What made you grateful today?
Hope you all have fabulous weekends!

Weekend round-up: London life
*Weather chat warning*
I LOVE THIS WEATHER!!!!
It makes such a difference to everything!
I've really enjoyed my weekend, though as usual it's gone too quickly.
My Saturday started off with a fab run along the Thames. I did a total of 5.88 miles, running for the first 3 and a bit miles, then doing walking-running intervals for the rest. I got out early enough that even though it was sunny it wasn't too warm, and it just felt lovely :)
After that I braved central London to try and finish off my garden party shopping. I caught the train to Waterloo station and then planned on having a leisurely walk up to Oxford Street.
It would have been leisurely, except it was a bazillion degrees...and I got lost. I don't even know how that happened! I've walked there before, and had a map, and then all of a sudden I had no idea where I was! Where I happened to be was "a long way in the wrong direction". By the time I got to Oxford Street, realised I was at the wrong end of the street for the shop I needed, and walked to the right end I was already pretty shattered! Shopping turns out to be a good workout!
I successfully got the Monsoon dress I tried on last weekend.
And after trying on every white jacket on Oxford Street I found one that looked ok from Zara so went with that (by that point I was very much done with shopping!). Just a hat and shoes to get now...
Stopped off at Pret for some lunch, finding the air con vent and sitting directly underneath it in an effort to cool down! That along with my superfood salad really sorted me out :)
There was one final stop at Whole Foods for some coconut water before I chilled out in Leicester Square waiting for my boyfriend to arrive (I'm hoping I got some serious girlfriend brownie points for not dragging him round with me!). After a quick Costa pitstop we went to go and see The Wind Rises at the cinema, which even I (who doesn't mind, but doesn't love, anime films) thought was pretty good.
Today has been spent in a much more leisurely fashion (which my legs have very much thanked me for!). I had a late get up, and then spent time mooching around Richmond, where we grabbed some lunch at Zizzi's (I had the Super Zucca salad) and had another Costa trip.
TEAPOT FACE!
I have to say the best thing I've eaten all week was this:
Minus the cat. Chocolate CoYo coconut yoghurt, frozen blackberries, and tahini-dipped medjool date. I've tried coconut yoghurt before and not been all that fussed, but this was amazing!
I've struggled a bit with my eating/thoughts this weekend. Yesterday I was so impressed myself because I purposefully ate loads knowing I'd been on a longer run and had been on my feet all day. And it was all really good, nutritious food, bar a quesadilla kit for dinner with my bf which had quite a lot of additives in (and I really noticed my tummy grumbling about afterwards!). But I was feeling incredibly low about my body image yesterday in particular, comparing myself to literally every other person who walked past, and being super aware of every millimetre of fat on my body. I had to constantly keep reminding myself that the important thing in life is to be healthy, and that every body's healthy looks different. Plus, it's that time of the month, and we all know what that does to our mindset! So, let's focus on ourselves, forget about everyone else's body, and enjoy life!
One final thing: my Ruled by the Scales post got a link on Laura's amazing Keeping Healthy Getting Stylish blog! I love the positive messages that Laura spreads through her blog and community work, so this meant such a lot - thanks Laura :)
What were the highlights of your weekend?
Have lovely evenings!

Weekend round-up: Dress shopping!
Hi everyone, I hope you’ve all had wonderful weekends!
I spent mine back at home with my parents in Cheshire, which
has been so lovely, but of course far too short.
At the start of June myself, my parents and one of my
brothers are going to a garden party at Buckingham Palace, hosted by the Queen
and a selection of other royal family members! I cannot put into words how
excited I am.

However, naturally, this requires a new outfit, so me and Mum
decided we’d spend this weekend going shopping together so we could give each other a bit of a pep talk when we got tired and depressed. There are some pretty strict regulations as to what you have to wear: women
are required to wear day dresses (with straps of more than an inch thick, and
no shorter than knee length) with a hat or fascinator.
So on Saturday we went into Manchester to hit the shops. I think
it’s safe to say that we tried on pretty much every dress in Manchester. We were
shopping for 6 HOURS! A few of my favourites are below (excuse the poor quality: they're a picture of a picture...long story).
We also tried on some hats. This was the bit I was most
worried about with the outfit, as I’m not usually a hat wearer. But I LOVED the
hats! So excited to have an excuse to get to wear one :)
We stopped for a lunch break in Starbucks where I just had
an Innocent Antioxidant smoothie (I’m quickly becoming addicted to these) along
with an apple and some almonds I’d brought with me. Not the most sustaining
lunch – I think if I’d had something proper there would have been much less dragging
of my legs through the afternoon!
I also stopped off at Holland and Barrett to pick up a
couple of Nakd bars in the penny sale, as I knew they’d be good for travelling
home on the Sunday.
In the end, neither of us actually came back with anything,
but I think I’m going to get the Monsoon dress. I love the Karen Millen one, but I think there may a bit too much leg on show for the Queen! I thought the Phase Eight dress was very Kate Middleton, but the colour was a bit bright. My Mum’s got a few options
up her sleeve too, so I consider the trip a half success!
This is the first shopping trip I’ve been on in a long time.
I think it’s fair to say going shopping puts the fear of God in me. So many
mirrors, sometimes unflattering lighting, and no other option than to face up
to what clothing size you currently are. My wardrobe at the moment is full of
clothes that are old and tatty and need replacing, but I just haven’t had the
confidence to go and buy new ones. To make matters worse, I know that if I’m going
to get help for my disordered eating there’s a large chance I’ll put on weight,
and I don’t want to buy clothes now only to have to later replace them because
they no longer fit. I’m not made of money!
However you know what? It wasn’t too bad. The dresses I was
trying on were beautiful, and there were only a couple of pieces of clothing
that I couldn’t fit into. I put most of my weight on around my hips, stomach
and thighs, whilst my bust (unfortunately!) doesn’t change so much, so most of
the dresses fitted around my top fine, and then glided over the bits I was less
comfortable with. There were times I saw myself in the mirror and felt
disgusted and panicky about how the body I saw didn’t reflect the body I had a
few years ago at the worst of my disordered eating. But I reminded myself that I
want to get better, and that in getting better I was going to most likely put
on weight, but not from my bingeing, instead through eating proper amounts of
healthy, nourishing food.
My evening was spent watching one of my favourite events of
the entire year: EUROVISION! Growing up my parents always used to watch it, and
it would be a treat to be able to stay up and watch right to the end (although I’m
not sure why as the voting is the most boring part!), so it was nice to relive
the tradition. And Eurovision didn’t fail with its usual randomness, glitter,
political controversy, and annoyingly catchy cheesy dance beats. I thought the
winner was a worthy one, and glad the UK entry didn’t come last – it was far
too catchy for that!
Sunday has been lovely and leisurely. Despite some lashing
rain I headed out for a 5k this morning, and it was a brilliant one. Running up
here is always so much more pleasant than in London, and I don’t know whether
it’s the country air or just the stunning scenery, but I also run so much
better!
The rest of the day was spent just chatting with my parents,
discussing private therapists for me to go and see, and just generally relaxing
and catching up with some social media. Unfortunately the day’s flown by, and
all too soon it was time to get my train, which is where I’m currently sat
typing this from.
Eating hasn’t been great over the weekend. I missed breakfast
on the Saturday, mostly because I didn’t have time, and partly for fear of eating
before trying on clothes, and as I said, lunch wasn’t particularly sustaining. I
did have a bit of a binge in the evening once my parents had gone to bed. I always
panic because I feel I have to eat the yummy foods they have in the house
whilst I have the chance, before I go back to where I don’t allow myself these
foods, and only eat restricted calories. I of course felt disgusting afterwards,
and particularly when I weighed myself Sunday morning.
Sunday I had a bit of a queasy and upset stomach after
breakfast (I think probably due to anxiety at returning to London rather than
anything I ate) so I tried to keep my eats fairly plain, and did have a ginger
bread Nakd bar as ginger can settle the stomach.
Enjoy the rest of your Sundays!
